MOUNTAINS of SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA to SAN JOAQUIN VALLEY and to the GOLDEN GATE BRIDGE

Today on our epic overland expedition we pull out of Bakersfield, California and head up into the mountains and run all the way to San Francisco and the Golden Gate Bridge!

In November of 2022, we decided to take our 99 Jeep Cherokee XJ for a Cross Country Overland Adventure. We loaded our Cherokee XJ with tent, folding camping cots, grill, blankets, sleeping bags, and extra gasoline!

At a truck stop after filling up with gas, we drove on the scales to see how much we weighed; the ticket revealed we were at 5200 pounds; we were ready for anything!

We spent 31 days driving in 18 states, and put on over 8500 miles! Come along for the ride; we think you will enjoy it!

Today we pulled out of Bakersfield, California and headed up into the mountains. We rode into the Sequoia National Forest, and went up over Greenhorn Summit; what a beautiful ride!

We then dropped off the other side and down into the San Joaquin Valley; stopping at Bravo Farms for a snack; what a place; every kind of fudge you could imagine and much more!

Later, we would make it to the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco; just in time for the sunset; a wonderful day!
