Personal Training Session | 2hr Symmetry Transformation (DEEP MUSCLE WORK - SHOULDER & KNEE PAIN)

I am an Icon Trainer at Virgin Active UK with 10+ years experience and multiple certifications including L7 Performance Nutrition, L4 S&C, L4 Sports Massage + Arc Tools, 3 Certifications from the Gray Institute and the ALTIS speed training course. I have upcoming courses in Osteopathic Articulation, Spinal Manipulation, Neuroscience and Biochemistry.

My client Darrell is an actor who also does his own stunts. Darrell does resistance training frequently and had a number of things he wanted me to look at so he could improve his lifts and general wellbeing. The session ended up being 2 hours long, but we condensed the video to just over an hour so not all our actions are shown.

A few areas I sought to improve on in the session are as follows:

- 1 arm bigger than the other with better neurological connection to one bicep
- Left shoulder elevation when loaded
- Limited ability to retract shoulders so unable to properly grip barbell during squats
- Lack of stability felt on left leg, especially around the knee
- Tight right hamstring from maximum exertion jump training
- Limited ability to laterally drive the hip

The client is actively engaging in strength training with free weights and machines. He also does active stunt work in some of his acting roles and is generally very healthy and has no specific injuries.
