Lebanese lira's dive triggers protest in Beirut

Tires were set on fire and roads were blocked in Beirut, Lebanon, as protesters gathered in front of the country’s Central Bank, furious about the lira’s ongoing collapse. The country has been experiencing an economic freefall ever since 2019.
