After earning young Rydia's trust and meeting the great sage Tellah, the trio finally emerges from the underground waterway in Damcyan just in time to see it get blown apart by the Red Wings! Tellah's daughter dies in the attack and he sets out on a solo journey for vengeance as Edward, prince of Damcyan, joins the group as they continue the search for Rosa's desert fever cure.

Edward has been vastly improved as a fighter in this hack. His songs can deal massive damage to entire enemy groups early on, and his new Salve ability can target all party members with an item that normally only works on one at a time.
