If you are heading to a salty destination that has some Redfish and you want to throw a fly to them then make certain to throw an Estaz Shrimp. This fly is so simple to tie but is so effective as to (possibly) only need this fly when fishing. You can tie this with more weight for fishing low in the water column or lighter for higher up. What ever the need. It can be stripped fast or slow and skooted right along the bottom like a real shrimp. Tan is the most often used color but Olive, Cream and Yellow seem to work well also. From a tying perspective it is also a great fly for newbies to get exposure to other materials and tying techniques. A fun tie and fun fly to fish. - Enjoy
