On October 2nd , 2022, San Antonio Police Officer James Brennand contacts Erik Cantu about a possible stolen car. Mr. Cantu puts his car in reverse and attempts to escape. Officer Brennand fires 10 shots through his window, critically wounding Mr. Cantu. Officer Brennand was subsequently fired from his job and charged with attempted murder.
