Lawmakers Walk Out On Hobbs Speech Arizona Republicans Protest

During Governor Katie Hobb's state of the state address this week, a number of Republicans staged a walkout during Hobbs speech. A few republican lawmakers also stood with their backs turned towards Hobbs during her speech. This occurrence spread all over social media. Many Arizona republican state legislators , like Joe Chaplik of the state Freedom caucus, believe that Governor Hobbs has so far abused the Governors office by weaponizing executive orders to bypass the state legislature. All of this goes on while Kari Lake's election appeal is still pending in the state Appellate court.
In Katie Hobbs first week as Governor she has already issued a slew of executive orders targeting multiple different issues. IN Hobbs first 100 days she aims to accomplish many tasks of her agenda, however the possibility of that seems uncertain given the Republican majority in the state legislature.
