Unlike other countries, bread's one of the most consumed food in India , replacing rice. It's eaten everywhere and all the time. In New Delhi, the most common is the naan bread, followed by chapati or roti. All three serve as an accompaniment to any ingredient, dish or sauce and are usually baked before served. The naan is the most characteristic of the northern area: it has a flat shape and it's made with white flour and yeast, cooked in a clay oven. It allows garnish at the middle or to fill it and roll it.
