An investigation has been launched into an incident on an An-26 flight between Magan airport and Magadan after a cargo ramp accidentally fell open mid-flight, causing the ejection of several pieces of luggage and the slight freezing of the passengers. Footage captured on board shows people looking an odd mix of bemused, terrified and frostbitten as the plane made its way back to Magan airport with the back of the plane completely open to the elements, several thousand meters above Siberia.

None of the 25 passengers or six crew were injured, and the aircraft suffered no further damage.
