The Man Child - Show Notes

Summary:
Throughout my ministry, whenever the Lord has shown me something that I once taught in error, I feel it necessary to correct the past teaching. This is one of those instances. I have taught that the man-child here refers to the 144,000 sealed servants of God, but I no longer believe that Ito be the case.

Woman clothed with the sun: Israel
Crown of 12 stars: Tribes of Israel
Travail: tribulation, not limited to end
Dragon: Satan, the serpent
1/3 stars of heaven: fallen angels
To devour her child: birth of Christ
Man child: Jesus
Caught up: no time is given (not immediately)

Takeaway:
The birth of Christ and the restoration of the new nation Israel are intimately connected. There is travail and pain at His birth (first coming,) and travail and pain prior to His second coming (the birth of a nation in one day.) Satan (the dragon) unsuccessfully used Herod to devour the man child as soon as he was born. Ultimately the new nation Israel flees into the wilderness to escape the dragon in the final 3 1/2 years of tribulation. Jesus IS the Man Child who was caught up to God’s throne!
