My Testimony/Story:
I grew up believing in God. God delivered me from being shy around people, even my extended family, pleasing people, trying too hard to fit in, making sure I was a like-able person at all times, caring more about what other people thought of me instead of what God said and putting others peoples wants and feelings before my own. I had more faith in people than God, even though I was more comfortable talking to God than people. I wanted approval, acceptance and validation from people outside of my family, to avoid feeling left out or not able to keep up with my age group.

In order for me to have a deeper relationship with God as a believer, I had to go through painful life lessons, mistakes and surrender full control of my life to God. I learned to turn to, trust and truly depend on God with my life and not people of this world. Especially, not conforming to the lifestyles of people within this world.
