My Testimony/Story God delivered me from anxiety and depression. I felt extremely lost, sad, drowning in self-doubt, hatred, anger and helplessness. Fighting my lack of self-esteem, self-worth and contentment in my life because I tried too hard to fit in to be accepted in this world. I would break down, get so frustrated to the point of having panic attacks over everything that I couldn't control. I grew disappointed by not reaching life experiences I expected to go through by a certain age throughout childhood and adulthood or job/career opportunities that didn't go to plan. Grieving the sudden deaths of people I knew and didn't know as well only pushed my determination to rush life before I died. Even if it meant my false hope included ignoring clear red flags that indicated I was moving towards the wrong path. I was mad at God. I felt like He was holding me back from what I thought was "harmless" what-if life experiments I seen through observing people, tv and movies. I didn't trust God with my future despite the many obstacles He carried me through and protected me from growing up. Regardless of my occasional worrying over little things now, I always find comfort in knowing God ALWAYS had my back with plans that have and ALWAYS will be better than the plan I have for myself. My life is in the best of hands. The purpose God has over my life is the only reason I am still alive from 29+ surgeries due due to my disorder. There were may blessings I receive that not only benefited me but my family. I thank God for loving, not forsaking add forgiving me even in my place of fear and doubt. I am looking forward to what God has in store for me in 2023 and beyond, Gods willing. How about you? My Testimony/Story: I grew up believing in God. God delivered me from being shy around people, even my extended family, pleasing people, trying too hard to fit in, making sure I was a like-able person at all times, caring more about what other people thought of me instead of what God said and putting others peoples wants and feelings before my own. I had more faith in people than God, even though I was more comfortable talking to God than people. I wanted approval, acceptance and validation from people outside of my family, to avoid feeling left out or not able to keep up with my age group. In order for me to have a deeper relationship with God as a believer, I had to go through painful life lessons, mistakes and surrender full control of my life to God. I learned to turn to, trust and truly depend on God with my life and not people of this world. Especially, not conforming to the lifestyles of people within this world.
