“The Great Absolution, the Clearing of Guilt and Shame"
23rd in our series the Prophet Zephaniah

I. A Future So Bright - Zephaniah 3:11
* A. Only those who are In Christ will be freed from guilt and shame
* 1. Those who repent of their sins
* 2. Those who believe the whole Word of God
* 3. Those who receive Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior - John 1:12 
* B. Once we come to faith in Christ what must happen when we sin?
* 1. We must repent of our sins  - 1 John 1:8
* 2. We must believe what the Word of God says about our sin
* 3. We must confess our sins - 1 John 1:9
* C. But what if we have truly confessed but still feel guilt and shame?  
* 1. Recognize the voice of Satan who stands to accuse us even when we are already forgiven - Revelation 12:10
* 2. Counter the words of Satan in our minds with the Word of God in our hearts
* 3. Accept the full absolution of our Father in heaven - Romans 8:1
* a. No Condemnation - John 8:11
* b. In Christ Jesus - understanding the meaning of our new identity in Christ 

II. The Glorious Nature of the Millennial Kingdom  - Zephaniah 3:9-11
* A. Pure Language and True Worship of the Living God
* B. Complete freedom from guilt and shame
* 1. Our Lord remembers our sins no more and neither will we in the Millennium - Jeremiah 31:34
* 2. We will be complete, fulfilled and blessed beyond measure, to be all that we were created by God to be.
