Step by Step showing you how to tie the Bouncer wet fly.

Hook: Mustad 3399, #6-#14
Thread: Danville 6/0, Black and White
Tip: Danville 4-Strand Rayon Floss, Orange
Rib: Danville Silver/Gold Mylar Tinsel, #16/#18
Body: Danville 4-Strand Rayon Floss, Black
Hackle: Schlappen, Orange
Wing: Duck Quill, Yellow

The Bouncer is one of the first wet flies I ever tied, so many years ago. It is a fun attractor pattern for when the waters are flowing clear or slightly stained. Not very good for muddy or cloudy waters (in my experience). The Bouncer is a great fly to learn how to tie matched wing wet flies. The only catch is in tying in the orange floss tip but that is discussed in the video. Overall, a fun and productive patter. Plus, a very old pattern. It is also mentioned in Ray Bergman's book Trout. - Enjoy
