Incline Pushups Bench or Box

Use a bench or a weight bench to elevate the upper body. Get into a pushup position with the fingertips engaged. Start in a pushup position with your hands directly under your shoulders and your legs and core engaged. Spread your fingers and squeeze your fingertips into the ground. Lower yourself by bending your elbows until your chest touches or gets close to the bench. This inclined angle will de-load the pushup to help build your pressing strength.
Trainer Tip: If you are still having trouble with these, put the feet as wide as possible. This will change your center of mass and will make these much easier for you. Also, imagine you are pushing the bench away from you. This cue helps to engage the upper back more to help perform the reps.
