The sun was just starting to rise over the city as John pulled up to the bank. He had been planning this robbery for months, and today was finally the day. He checked his bag one last time to make sure he had everything he needed - a ski mask, gloves, and a gun.

John took a deep breath and stepped out of the car. He approached the bank slowly, trying to stay calm. As he walked through the doors, he could feel the eyes of the security cameras on him. He quickly pulled the ski mask down over his face and pulled out the gun.

"Everyone get down on the ground!" he shouted, his voice muffled by the mask.

The bank employees froze, too shocked to move. John took a step closer, the gun shaking in his hand.

"I said get down on the ground!" he repeated, this time more forcefully.

The employees finally obeyed, lowering themselves to the ground as John approached the teller.

"Give me all the money!" he demanded.

The teller's hands shook as she began to fill a bag with cash. John glanced around nervously, aware that the police could arrive at any moment. He needed to work fast.

As the teller finished filling the bag, John grabbed it and burst out of the bank and into the bright morning sunlight.

He could hear the sirens getting closer and knew he had to move fast. He looked around frantically, trying to decide which way to go.

Suddenly, he saw an alleyway to his left. Without hesitation, he turned and ran towards it. As he sprinted down the narrow passage, he could hear the sound of footsteps behind him.

"Stop right there!" a voice shouted.

John knew he had to keep moving. He pushed himself harder, his breath coming in ragged gasps. He could feel the bag of money bouncing against his side as he ran.

Just as he reached the end of the alley, he saw a fence blocking his way. He hesitated for a moment, wondering if he could climb over it. But before he could make a decision, he heard the sound of the police closing in.

John turned and ran back the way he had come, his mind racing. He had to find a way out of there before it was too late.

As he turned a corner, he saw a small park up ahead. Without hesitation, he made a beeline for it. He could hear the police getting closer and closer, but he didn't dare look back.

Finally, he reached the park and darted behind a tree. He crouched down and tried to catch his breath, his heart pounding in his chest. He knew he couldn't stay there for long - he had to keep moving.

As he started to rise to his feet, he felt a sharp pain in his leg. He looked down and saw a tranquilizer dart sticking out of his thigh.

"No!" he yelled, as the world started to spin around him.

And then, everything went black.

John slowly came to, his head throbbing. He tried to sit up, but a strong hand held him down.

"Stay still," a voice commanded.

John opened his eyes and saw a police officer standing over him. He was handcuffed and lying on the ground.

"Where am I?" John muttered, his mouth feeling dry and cottony.

"You're under arrest," the officer said gruffly. "You're going to jail for a long time."

John's heart sank as the reality of the situation hit him. He had been caught red-handed, and now he would have to pay the price.

As the officers loaded him into the back of a squad car, John couldn't help but wonder what had gone wrong. He had planned the robbery so carefully, but somehow it had all gone wrong.

As the car started to move, John closed his eyes and tried to come to terms with his fate. He knew it was going to be a long road ahead, but he was determined to make the best of it.

He might be going to jail, but he was determined to turn his life around and make something of himself. It wouldn't be easy, but he was ready to do whatever it took to make a fresh start.

The end.
