Mutton Snapper Mania After Hurricane Ian
Prayers go out to everyone on the west coast of Florida who was impacted by this hurricane.
In this video we ran out boynton inlet 2 days after the hurricane passed we where fishing just off some reefs in the delray beach area in 60-80ft of water with the mullet run going on and the storm stirring up the water there have been tons of snapper being caught in the shallower water even mutton's caught off the beach and piers lately!!!
Rod and Reel Setup
Shimano Torium loaded with 40lb mono swivel on the main line for a weight loop then main line tied to another swivel with 40ft of 40lb fluorocarbon leader if you are trying to save a little money can run mono leader with last 10-15ft fluoro leader tied to the mono with uni to uni knot lead depends on the current even with very little current i would fish a minimum of 8-10oz lead muttons are super shy and if the lead is dragging or bouncing on bottom they will shy away and no bites :(
