Hong Kong Food: Egg Waffle
Ranked as one of the most popular Hong Kong street snacks since their appearance in the 1950s, egg waffles are simple, fluffy and delicious. Despite being so popular, the origins of the snack are largely unknown. Some say they got the name from using broken eggs, others say it’s because they look like little eggs. Regardless of where it comes from, egg waffles can be eaten at any time of the day and come in a range of different flavours. We head to Mammy Pancake, an institution in Hong Kong for some delicious Green Tea and Chocolate Egg Waffles.
What a great food adventure we’ve had today. We ate through every meal together and even dessert. Are there options that you want to go back to check out? Just click on the links below to take you to any of the available options along the way.
