Hong Kong Food: Chicken & Sausage Claypot
Chicken & Chinese Sausage is one of the more classic options. It’s difficult to go wrong with tender bites of chicken and savoury Chinese sausage otherwise known as Lap Cheong. All claypot rice dishes come with a side of soy sauce that should be drizzled on generously before eating. One of the best parts of the dish is the crust - toasted rice that takes on a crispy-chewy texture from being heated on the sides of the pot. It’s best to wait for a little before eating so that the pot can cool down and seize, loosening the rice from the sides.
It’s getting late and restaurants are opening for dinner. We could go have some extravagant Fine Dining with a gorgeous view or we could hit up a Dai Pai Dong along the street and experience Hong Kong street dining. What’s your pick?
