Hong Kong Food: Mango Sago

Originally created by Wong Wing-chee, the former head chef of Lei Garden, Mango Sago was made to appeal to the taste of Singaporeans. Due to the subtropical climate in Singapore, he wanted to create a dish to help customers feel cooler after eating it. It was such a hit that you can now find it almost everywhere in Singapore, Taiwan and Hong Kong. The dessert itself is extremely simple, made up of mango, pomelo, sago, coconut milk and condensed milk - it’s definitely a Hong Kong staple and great to have on hot summer nights.

What a great food adventure we’ve had today. We ate through every meal together and even dessert. Are there options that you want to go back to check out? Just click on the links below to take you to any of the available options along the way.
