BONNIE AND CLYDE Ambush, bodies, embalming, funerals, and graves

Bonnie and Clyde were ambushed on a dusty and remote Louisiana highway on May 23, 1934 by two retired Texas Rangers and Texas and Louisiana officers. This video describes their death, the condition of their bodies, possessions found on their bodies and in the car, and the challenges facing the funeral homes that prepared their bodies. Included is the reading of a letter written by one of Bonnie’s embalmers which describes her condition and how she was “repaired” for viewing. Sites visited include the funeral home where Clyde’s body was prepared, the Texas Rangers Hall of Fame in Waco, Texas, where many Bonnie and Clyde artifacts are on display including items found in the death car, and the gravesites of both Clyde Barrow and Bonnie Parker. Be warned this video contains graphic images of Bonnie and Clyde after the ambush so pass this by if images like this upset you. This one is definitely for the morbidly curious and probably the first truly “morbid” video that I have made though I do hope viewers will feel that I have been respectful. I certainly tried to be.
