A poor quality video from 2009 of my startup company's technology that was built before gofundme was a thought. I made this demo for an investor and 30 seconds after he watched the video he agreed to a 7 figure investment. It is a story of greed from earlier investors that killed this model intended to change how education is funded by digitizing and synchronizing the scholarship world. It was democratizing scholarships and leveraging the power of tech. I ended up in bankruptcy and eventually homeless. It was an incredible journey for a company with such potential to have died like it did. I have lots of hard lessons in this journey of trying to solve a major problem for funding education.
