Project A7IV Train Test | Rahana Carriage directed by Suchet Budon SONY A74 test with kit lens

A test of the SONY A7IV and the 28mm-70mm f3.5-f5.6 kit lens. in a dramatic and beautiful way - So I jumped on a train and made this science fiction styled short.

Filmed in SLOG3, graded in Davinci Resolve 18 and visual effects also done in Davinci Resolve 18, on a Windows laptop, the final edit was done on a 2020 iPad Pro using LumaFusion.

I wanted the direction style and sound to be reminiscent of David Fincher from his movies THE GAME and ALIEN3, so I created stretched-out text and graded in a big-bright way along with using computerised digital text for one of the scenes in the train ala ALIEN3.

Ill be using this SONY camera and various FE lenses for 2 sequences one is a coming of age scene in RAHANA where two friends see each other after many years and go on a city adventure. And then in another fight scene.

Ill also be using the SONY camera for scenes along with the GH6, S1 and fp along with a 1.5 squeeze anamorphic 50mm lens for a remake of DELIVERENCE that I will be making after RAHANA.

The reason I am using the non-cine-styled SONY A7IV camera is because it has such great auto-focus and the conversation and particular fight scene has two characters which the viewpoint will be switching from intermittently from character to character, very fast - to do that successfully without creating a nightmare, is to have a camera with faultless autofocus features like the SONY A7IV.
