🎵 The Answer - Always - New Music - REACTION

The Answer is a Northern Irish hard rock band from Newcastle and Downpatrick, County Down, Northern Ireland, UK. They have achieved success with their debut album Rise selling in excess of 30,000 copies in the UK and Europe, 10,000 on day one in Japan and 100,000 worldwide.

n 2005, Classic Rock magazine voted The Answer as Best New Band 2005, which brought them even more exposure. The Answer then went on to co-headline the first Nokia 'New School of Rock' Tour, with Tokyo Dragons and The Sound Explosion. Shortly afterwards, in November 2005, came their second official release – the single "Never Too Late". They supported Deep Purple at an intimate show at the London Astoria on 17 January 2006.

The Answer opened for AC/DC on the 2008 and 2009 legs of the Black Ice World Tour and was probably the most worldwide exposure the band has received to date.

Obviously influenced by 70s hard rock artists like Led Zeppelin, Thin Lizzy and Deep Purple and the New Wave of British Heavy Metal, singer Cormac Neeson's powerful vocals are reminiscent of Robert Plant, Paul Rodgers or Ronnie James Dio. When playing live they produce a varied set, combining hard rock songs with modernized blues covers.

The band played at a Phil Lynott memorial benefit gig in Dublin, as Lynott’s mother is a big fan. So big in fact that she allowed bass player Micky Waters to be the first since Lynott’s death to open his case and play the legendary black bass within. It’s the same instrument that appears in the music video for Keep Believin'.

The Answer has supported bands such as Aerosmith, The Rolling Stones, AC/DC and The Who and has been joined on stage by Free and Bad Company vocalist Paul Rodgers.

"The Answer, best group since Free." ~ Paul Rodgers

Home of the '60s - '70s style New Music

These are my reactions and reviews from the NEW wave of 60s - 70s style music from artists of the past, and new 60s - 70s style artists from the year 2000 to the now. Great new music I think is cool and far out and has groove, and everyone might like.

And who knows maybe a surprise or three with some great (IMO) the 60s - 70s style music from before Y2K ;)
