Going bold with an experimental approach, Rebecca! I respect you taking a swing with the format.

I followed your instructions to a T. That approach definitely yields different experiences. With my eyes closed, your audio selections felt almost like a montage of audio horror tropes (distortion of voices, ominous music, a childish voice singing). Seeing the full version - audio and visual together - enhanced some of the horror and lessened it elsewhere. For instance, the final clip seemed out of place in the audio-only watch, but with the POV visual I understood the context of kidnapping clarified the threat.

All of that said, I wish there had been a little more context - maybe even in your comment here or a separate document - of why you chose each audio and visual element. That would also have provided you an opportunity to explicitly incorporate the sources from your works cited; listing them there is one thing, but actually using them within the project is another.

Overall, though, this project follows serves as a perfect culmination to the ingenuity you've shown across the semester through your Flips and Mapping a Haunting submission. Thanks for all the effort this semester, Rebecca! Have a relaxing break!
