Peru's President urges Congress to bring elections forward

Peruvian President Dina Boluarte on Saturday (December 17) urged the country's Congress to pass a proposal to bring forward general elections, following deadly protests that have rocked Peru since former President Pedro Castillo's removal from office and arrest last week.
