Vimeo is no longer supporting Roku - What good are they then?
#Vimeo #Roku #streaming
Streaming enthusiasts everywhere were dealt a crushing blow today when it was announced that video sharing website Vimeo will no longer provide support for the popular streaming platform, Roku. This marks a huge setback for those who have come to rely on the many features and channels provided by Vimeo through Roku, as viewers are now left with far less options for streaming content.
The news comes as an unwelcome surprise to many, as Vimeo has been providing support for Roku since 2012 and had become one of its most popular channels. With over 170 million users streaming from the platform in 2018 alone, according to data from Statista, there is no doubt that this announcement will have an impact on viewership numbers going forward.
