'We are too merciful’ to Palestinians: Israeli MP triggers backlash

Palestinian authorities allege that Israeli forces have killed at least 165 Palestinians this year. Meanwhile, an Israeli politician has said that Israel has actually been ‘too merciful’ towards the Palestinian territories. ‘Such provocative language could add to the already explosive environment and drive extremists from both sides to move from words to action’, Amri Oren, a defense and government policy commentator, said.
