Semiconductor shortage crippling Russia

Russia’s having major issues with the lack of supply of semiconductors, because of western sanctions.
Basically everything is gone & there is trouble everywhere from simpler chips that go into home appliances to chips used in military equipment & to chips used in data servers & telecommunication equipment.
Russia does design some of their own chips, but they rely on other non-Russian companies to actually produce them such as TSMC & Samsung.
They do plan to ramp up the production of chips made completely in Russia, but setting up such factories takes many many years & not to mention they don’t even have the chips to make the equipment to produce the chips.
And they can’t even get a stable supply through the black market & Asian brokers because we still live in a chip shortage.
