Best-Ever Chocolate Chip Cookies! These cookies stay soft and don't get crunchy. Everyone always asks me for the recipe. I even add some red or green food coloring to make them Christmasy! Let me know how you like them! Y'all go make you some!

Best-Ever Chocolate Chip Cookies
3/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1 large egg
2 tsp vanilla extract
2 cups all purpose flour
2 tsp cornstarch
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 cup chopped pecans (optional)

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Cream together butter & sugars until light & fluffy. Add egg & vanilla and blend. Mix in flour, cornstarch, baking soda, and salt. Stir in chocolate chips & pecans.
Using a tablespoon scoop, drop onto a prepared baking sheet. Bake for 8 - 10 minutes, until barely turning golden around the edges. DO NOT OVERBAKE. Let cool for about 5 minutes then move to a cooling rack.

You can add red or green food coloring for Christmas colors.
