In this video I go over the phenomena of #reactiveabuse , a mainstay in the arsenal of abusers, #narcissist s and #covertnarcissist s

Despite my early misunderstanding of what the phrase means. It is used to describe a kind of abuse which is meant to 'provoke' a reaction in the victim, a reaction that is then used to re-enforce the ongoing campaign of gaslighting, smearing, misrepresenting, isolating the victim and so on "see I told you he's crazy, see how he gets upset so easily"

Abusers are VERY good at studying their victims in order to figure where best the metaphorical knife can be stabbed for maximum effect/reaction.

Male and female abusers use this strategy.... although in my life - its been most effectively used on me by the female abusers in my life.

Remember this goes on in a climate of gaslighting... in which the victim is being continually undermined and misrepresented I know in my story part of the reason I took so much abuse from my ex, is because of the spell-old-conditioning of "it's all my fault / I'm bad / I'm to blame" was still in effect... and thus was very easy for me to blame my self for the reactions I expressed due to being expertly provoked by my narcissistic ex.
