PISL Hark! The Herald Angels Sing Jana Mashonee (Lakota)

Singer: Jana Mashonee from her album A Native Christmas.
Language: Lakota
Original lyrics: Charles Wesley (b. 12/18/1707).
George Whitefield (b. 1714), Wesley’s friend, changed the lyrics of “Hymn For Christmas-Day,” to “Hark! The Herald Angels Sing.”
In 1855, William Hayman Cummings (b. 1831) joined Whitefield’s adaptation of Wesley's hymn to the tune from the second chorus of Felix Mendelssohn’s (b. 1809) PHH 279 Festgesang (Op. 68).

To my ear (and in only knowing four Lakota words), it seems the “Veiled in flesh” part of this adaptation is sung three times in this version. I decided to sign the English version of Verses one & two to offer more signs and then they may be matched against the English lyrics if you like. The third verse is missing from this version (as much as I could deduce), so I omitted it from the signing, as well.

I used the Cheyenne form of Listen, because I like it. Feel free to substitute signs for the ones you like, including signing the name of your Nation rather than “Indian People” as I did here.
