DEDICATING AND RE-DEDICATING / Pastor Bob's Coffee Break

Dear Pastor Bob: What are your thoughts about Christians rededicating themselves to the Lord? Is it Biblical?  Some Churches teach this, especially those of Pentecostal and Charismatic persuasion. Some Christians do this when they feel like they have backslidden, or got off track in their walk with God. Some have said they have done this several times, but does it actually do any good?  Seems like the rededication only lasts until their current spiritual high has passed, and they have to rededicate themselves all over again. Should we as believers rededicate ourselves to Jesus?
