People focus on controlled reps and absolute strength but are missing the boat not doing speed work. Per Louie Simmons, “This method is used to increase the rate of force development and explosive strength”. The perfect storm when you combine with absolute strength training.

One day a week for squat, deadlift and bench, @kamilobliner and I lower the weight and move it as fast as possible for 5-8 working sets.

The result is more work with less trauma and soreness and our heavy lifts move better and faster.

If you want to get fast, train fast…or something like that!
