Hey Guys! Welcome back to my channel and welcome to Day 5 of Vlogmas.
In today’s video I’m going to show you how to make Homemade Christmas Cranberry Sauce from fresh cranberries.
I came across this bag of cranberries when I was shopping at Sam’s for my Thanksgiving groceries. I planned to wow everyone with homemade cranberry sauce but I don’t know what happened. I somehow ran out of time and just left them in the refrigerator.
Better late than never and here is the recipe. It’s my very first time making cranberry sauce myself and Jalayla and I loved it. This is surely going to be on the menu every Thanksgiving for sure.

Homemade Christmas Cranberry Sauce:
24 Ounces Fresh Cranberries, picked and washed
1 1/2 Cups White Sugar
1 Cup Water
1 Cup Orange Juice
1 Teaspoon Cinnamon
1 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract
A Few Strips of Orange Peel
Pinch of Salt, optional

In a small sauce pan over medium heat add water, orange juice and sugar. Bring to a boil.
Add cranberries, cinnamon, salt, vanilla extract and orange peel to the pan. Bring to a boil. Let cook over medium beat until the liquid starts to slightly thicken. The cranberries will pop open during the cooking process. Once the sauce is almost ready, use the back of your rubber spatula or whisk to gently mash the cranberries. After a total cooking time of 10 to 12 minutes turn the burner off to allow the sauce to cool. It will thicken more as it cools. Once cool enough to handle the pan pour your sauce into a serving a bowl. Refrigerate until ready to use.
Stays fresh in the fridge for up to 3 days. Freezes beautifully for up to two months.
Enjoy!
