DRONES have revolutionised the modern battlefield in Ukraine, bringing big gains for both sides in the form of intelligence, espionage, reconnaissance and deadly attacks. Simon Banks reports.

I spoke to drone expert, Professor Sarah Kreps, Director of the Tech Policy Institute at Cornell University, about how drones are shaping the modern battlefield.

Professor Kreps has written two books on drone warfare and has worked on drones for the best part of two decades, having previously worked with the United States military. Here, she discusses how drones have been used in the conflict in Ukraine and the latest advancements in the technology, while also predicting future trends.
