----- In Will Killmore's latest update from #Ukraine, he discusses some of the training that #GSMSG is providing the Ukrainian soldiers and Territorial Defense units. In an interesting contrast, Will describes some of the differences in 'kit' and attitude between the TDF (Veteran Reserve + Militia) and Ukraine (Regular) Army soldiers. While the contrast of attitude's between the two won't be foreign to US/Allied Veterans, an interesting point is the availability of nicer gear to the Reserve element (probably due to donations, self-purchase, etc.). Reserve forces in the West are still operating with ACU-pattern gear, old-style kevlar helmets, and I've even seen a few Vietnam-era load-bearing vests at recent range days. Will's point is a profound one, though, all the kit from the best companies in the world doesn't do you a single bit of help if your head isn't right.
