Bonnie and Clyde, real names Clyde Barrow and Bonnie Parker, along with W.D. Jones, visited Dallas on January 6, 1933, not only to visit family but to also plan a jailbreak to get Raymond Hamilton out of jail. As usual their timing was about as bad as ever. Clyde wanted to discuss the plan with Raymond’s sister, Lillie McBride, who lived mere blocks from Clyde’s father’s filling station. Unfortunately, Lillie’s living room was full of cops who hoped to catch someone else, Odell Chambless. They were as surprised as anyone when they ended up shooting it out with Clyde Barrow instead, ultimately leading to the death of Fort Worth officer Malcolm Davis. Find out exactly what happened right where the event occurred.
