Dead memory chips in used mining GPUs

As crypto has fallen a lot of mining cards are being sold on various markets & some seem to be just a little bit overcooked.
So crypto mining usually doesn’t really place a lot of stress on the actual silicon of the GPU, in fact gaming actually causes more stress for instance.
But mining does put a lot of stress on the memory & depending on which model of a certain card you have the memory chips might have very sub-par cooling as well.
For instance the original RTX 3090s had problems with chips running too hot.
Now I covered these cards earlier this week & most of them seem to be fine so I’d personally still snag one up if I found a good deal & it was still in warranty.
But you know.. Be careful.
