Why M2 Macbook Pro is slower than the old M1 Macbook Pro

Apple’s new Macbook Pro with the M2 chip is slower than the old M1 model.
Specifically the 256GB M2 model seems to be slower than the M1 model with the same capacity, because the new one uses a worse SSD.
And that seems to be because the new model’s SSD contains only 1 chip of NAND flash memory whereas the old SSD contains 2.
So it’s kinda like running two SSD’s in RAID 0 vs just one.
The 2 SSD’s are gonna be faster, especially in Sequential read & write speeds.
Why did Apple do this? Probably just to save some money.
You don’t just become the World’s most valuable company by accident you know.
