Recovery: Feral Honey Bee Colony | Honey Bee Rescue

Philip was called in by a local tree service company to remove a honey bee colony discovered on their latest job. The feral colony had a 2 to 3 feet section in the center hollow of the tree full of comb, honey, and brood. Philip uses the bee's own honeycomb by strapping the comb into wooden frames within the hive box. This helps make the bees comfortable as he transitions them to the wooden bee hive.
