Google Pixel 6A unlocks itself with unregistered fingerprints

Video transcript:
The long-awaited Google Pixel 6a has arrived, but with a major security concern.
So basically the under-display fingerprint reader doesn’t seem to work properly, at least on some units.
Some users have uploaded videos showing the Pixel 6A unlocking itself when scanning fingerprints that are not even registered onto the device.
Basically allowing just anyone to unlock & use the device, which kinda defeats the purpose of the scanner.
It’s kinda like just anyone would be able to unlock your car & drive it which… is bad :P.
Now, this is most likely just a software bug so it should be pretty easy to patch.
If it is a hardware issue with the scanner, that would ofc suck, but I’m sure Google would recall the affected units.
