As a smart person

Smart people tend to be shamed into not talking about their own intelligence, even though it's palpable and self evident. I'm not one of those people. I'll happily mention that I'm above average any time I feel it's relevant, like if I'm talking to someone below average. It's a great excuse for not having talking to them.

I just say, "sorry bro, I'm too smart to be talking to you." And then I stare into space, or walk away if they seem like they could be violent. Dumb people tend to be more violent than smart people, after all. So it's not rude to walk away from them.

Intelligence should be celebrated. We're the ones who built the world and made it cool.
