Malicious Trojan apps are plaguing Google’s Play Store

New lists of malicious apps on the Play Store are coming out every day, so in this video I’m gonna be going over how these apps actually work.
Most of them contain malicious software running in the background of a seemingly ordinary app, basically disguising themselves & these are called Trojan apps.
Octo for instance is a banking Trojan capable of sending & receiving texts, stealing banking information & taking control of your device remotely.
Hydra Trojan can ask you for permissions that will then enable it to overwrite legitimate banking app logins for example.
And TeaBot uses apps to try & redirect you to click a link & infect your device.
These seem to be the most popular types of malware right now.
It is hard to stay safe from these things, but at the very least head over to your Play Store & make sure you have “Scan apps with Play Protect” turned on.
