Google is shaming Apple to try and get them to adopt their new messaging standard.
Basically, they are trying to push Apple to adopt RCS which is a new cross-platform messaging protocol that would replace the aging SMS & MMS standards.
RCS offers modern features like encryption & higher quality media transfers among others, which would objectively make the messaging experience between iOS & Android users better.
But the thing is that Apple is probably never gonna accept this because they don’t give a s**t about Android users.
“Oh you use an A…Android?!? Ughh”.
This would also pretty much eliminate the need for iMessage which Apple doesn’t want as that feature is one of the reasons why some consumers would not even consider a non-iOS device.
And they want their consumers to keep buying apples for as long as they’re alive.
