United Nations Human Rights chief Volker Turk on Thursday said Iran is "in a full-fledged human rights crisis". "From what we could gather, around 14,000 people, including children, have so far been arrested (for the protests)...this is a staggering number," he said. Iranian protesters are agitating for months now over the alleged death of a woman in police custody.
