The Tortle may seem slapstick at first but they contain true Tank Pedigree. With the ability to hold their breath underwater for an hour, natural claws, and a natural armored shell they make a great racial option for those class types that face casting restrictions on armor selection. It removes the need to boost strength for armor requirements, allowing more dedication to Dexterity to boost initiative. A perfect marriage with a Druid. Add the Druids Wooden Shield cut from the heart of a living tree acting as their focus and they sport a 19 Armor Class right out of the gate to become a Tank with a decent amount of Damage Avoidance.
