Brazing One Quarter Inch Aluminum Plate

I was facing a repair job on an aluminum project and was dreading having to TIG weld it. This is going to require a 1/4" aluminum plug. Then I found out about aluminum brazing watching a video from Project Farm. You should check it out and subscribe to his channel:

According to his video I decided that Hobart's 1/8" Aluminum Brazing Rod would work the best for me.
Brazing is strong but doesn't have the tensile strength of welding.
