What was once a village of 3,500, with a school & kindergarten, is now a shell of a village, with at most 1,000 residents, most of whom don't stay in the village, but come for brief visits & retreat to relative safety in Gorlovka,a city likewise heavily shelled, including with HIMARs on November 12. Not far away, in Golmovsky, I spoke with some of the residents who remain. One told me he'd fled his own town, Dolomoti, NE of Golmovsky, which he said was destroyed by Ukrainian shelling, and has lost three homes, burned down after Ukrainian shelling. He said they were evicted from Dolomoti in 2019, and in 2020, Ukraine completely destroyed the village, “every single house”. He collected money to rent an apartment in Golmovsky, “but three days ago it was hit. I just bought it, and it was already hit. They don't consider us humans. They say it on tv, that we are not human. In 2019, 2020, they told us they don't consider us human and if they enter this place there would be nobody left, they'd annihilate us.” These are but glimpses of the horror Donbass civilians have been living since Ukraine began shelling them in 2014. Complicit media, with blood on their hands, claim this isn't happening. The people being bombed beg to differ.

This was in a completely civilian district where around the same time, still more Ukrainian-fired Grad missiles targeted a school, killing employees inside. Only because children were distance-learning, were they spared. I rented a small apartment in the same district my last visits here. Built in 1951, the Shakhtar Palace of Culture was formerly a movie theatre and in recent years, a venue for concerts and various cultural events. Alexey, a Gorlovka resident & friend of mine to said that he saw the Donetsk philharmonic play there, and as a youth went there to see movies. He said that children take dancing or singing classes there, though due to Ukraine's intensified shelling, those classes have been paused. According to the centre's director, it was one of the best movie theatres in the Donetsk region, one of the oldest, most beautiful and most beloved buildings in the city. He noted that HIMARs system is a very precise weapon, the attack was not accidental. Colonel Douglas Macgregor: “Your more complex systems like HIMARs, the high mobility rocket system that we provided, are operated exclusively by American and British contractors. Ukrainians aren't operating them." Given that there was no military target there, it is yet another example of Ukraine's (& Western) terrorism against the people of the Donbass.

According to Donetsk authorities, Ukraine fired six HIMARS missiles at the building. It should be noted that, again, Ukraine targeted a residential, civilian, area, not a military target. Fires were still burning when I was there, Donetsk Emergency Services having put out the worst of the blazes. The building is flanked by apartment buildings, the closest of which had windows blown out. I spoke with one woman in her first story apartment. At the time of the first blast, she ran with her toddler son to the toilet, thus missing the brunt of the explosions and windows shattering into the kitchen and her son's bedroom. She found shrapnel on his bed. I shudder to think of the boy's injuries, or death, if she hadn't grabbed him and ran for the toilet. Ukraine has been heavily bombing central Donetsk for months, since at least June, and increasingly so in recent months. The elderly woman told me: “We have been living in this for nine years, nine years! And no one pays any attention to us. We were always falling asleep and waking up every morning by such bombardments. As they like to say it's all fake. We were shooting at ourselves? How could we be shooting at ourselves? No one believes abroad or in the West that we live like this. And now you see how we live. What targets are they shooting at? People. Civilians. Hotels. Hospitals, kindergartens, schools. What is all this?”

While in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) in October, I went to a front line outpost 70 m from Ukrainian forces in Avdeevka, according to the Donbass commanders I spoke with. While many in the west think that this conflict started in February 2022, those following events since 2014 are aware of the origins of the conflict & the sacrifices which the people of the Donbass republics have endured, particularly those fighting to protect their families and loved ones. Just as the Syrian Arab Army was maligned, so too have Donbass forces have been maligned by Western media, though both are defending their homelands from terrorist forces trained and funded by the West. Terrorists given the freedom to commit endless atrocities against Donbass civilians. These defenders, many living in dank trench conditions didn't chose war, they responded to it, to protect their loved ones & their future. Ukraine has committed untold numbers of war crimes in its over eight years of bombing the civilians of the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics, including routinely targeting ambulances, fire trucks, medics, rescuers, and their headquarters and stations. Many of the times Ukraine bombs such heroic rescuers, it is when they are on the way, or already on site, to help civilians often themselves also just bombed by Ukraine. On August 6, Ukraine fired onto the territory of an orphanage in Makeevka a rocket containing the Petal mines which Ukraine has been terrorizing Donetsk civilians with since late July. The orphanage evacuated its children months ago, due to its proximity to the front lines. Nonetheless, according to the Head Physician of the orphanage, Ukraine deliberately targeted it, knowing its existence and location. This is another Ukrainian war crimes, the latest in a long list spanning 8+ years. As of August 8, according to DPR authorities, 29 people have been injured by the Petal Mines Ukraine continues to rain down on the DPR. These are extremely insidious mines, difficult to spot, easy to step on and have your foot blown off, as was the case with an 87 year old woman recently. Ukraine signed the Anti-Personnel Mine Ban Convention in 1999, and was obliged to not only not use them, but to destroy its stock. On July 30, in a densely inhabited working-class district of western Donetsk, in a field with garden plots for nearby apartment residents, I saw the nefarious "petal" or "butterfly" mines which Ukraine the following day dropped on the central of Donetsk. In the large courtyard of an apartment complex, I watched from a safe distance as Emergency Services timer-detonated eight mines they had found around the grounds. The day prior, they destroyed 26. Another 150 were located and destroyed using a radio-controlled minesweeper. But there remains much work to restore the streets and courtyards to safety. Some types of these anti-personnel mines have a self-destruct timer. Others, including the ones Ukraine is firing, have a years-long shelf life. They do pretty much no damage to military vehicles, and as such their use in Donbass is insidious – deliberately targeting civilians, to leave them maimed. The use of PFM-1 ‘butterfly’ mines against civilians is prohibited by the Geneva conventions – but this evidently isn’t stopping Ukraine Saturday night, just after 9 pm, thunderous explosions rocked central Donetsk. Shortly after, there were announcements that air defense had shot down Ukrainian-fired missiles containing “Butterfly” (or “Petal”) mines. Given that over 300 of these mines are packed into each of the Ukrainian-fired rockets, central Donetsk would literally be a minefield. While Ukraine has been using these mines on the Donbass for many months, in recent days they have intensely bombarded Gorlovka and Donetsk neighbourhoods with them. Initially targeted were the hard-hit districts of Kievskiy in the north, Kirovsky in the southwest, and Kuibyshevkiy in the west. But as of Saturday night, Ukraine hammered central Donetsk with them. Ukrainian shelling of Gorlovka on July 25 killed an elderly man & injured two other adults, as well as destroying a house and blasting a hole through the roof of an apartment building. I went there with journalist Roman Kosarev to speak with residents about the shelling. The injured are in critical condition in the hospital, so it was impossible to take their testimonies. But people affected by the shelling spoke about their terror and emphasized that the area is completely civilian, there are no military targets. On June 24, I went with journalist Roman Kosarev to Popasnaya, a Lugansk People's Republic front line city that had been liberated a month prior but was still being pounded by Ukrainian shelling, including when we were there. We also went to Stakhanov, a city to the east, where many refugees from Popasnaya and other regions being shelled by Ukraine have taken shelter. Ukraine is targeting that city, too. So, these fleeing civilians find no peace and continue living a nightmare of endless bombing. On July 3, Russia's Ministry of Defence announced that all of the Lugansk People's Republic has been liberated from Ukrainian forces. After 8 years of Ukraine's war on the people of the Lugansk & Donetsk republics, the liberation of the LPR is a victory which corporate owned media will downplay or ignore, but for the people it means a massive step towards a return to peace and stability. But even with this positive development, the tragic reality is that Ukraine continues to bomb civilian areas, with no military target, the only purpose being to kill and maim more people in the Donbass republics. On June 21, the first foreign ship departed from Mariupol port since Ukrainian and Azov forces were fully forced out of the Donbass city a month prior. Escorted by Russian naval boats along a humanitarian corridor, the ship’s departure set the precedent for a resumption of normal port activity to and from Mariupol. With other journalists, I went to Mariupol port to watch the ship be escorted out of port. The functioning anew of the port is positive news, but of course corporate-owned legacy media will never highlight that, if they mention it at all. On June 13, Ukraine unleashed a torrent of bombing all over Donetsk city, killing six civilians, including one child, and injuring tens more. My article on this: https://ingaza.wordpress.com/2022/06/17/western-media-and-politicians-prefer-to-ignore-the-truth-about-donetsk-civilians-killed-in-ukrainian-shelling/ The Ukrainian shelling began late morning, resumed in the afternoon, and continued heavily for another two hours in the evening, a deafening series of blasts throughout the city, terrorizing residents and targeting apartment buildings, civilian infrastructure, industrial buildings, a gas station, hospitals, schools and a kindergarten. Locals say this was some of the heaviest bombing of Donetsk since 2014. One of the hospitals targeted was a busy maternity hospital with dozens of patients inside, an Uragan MLRS rocket going through the roof. Thankfully, they had taken shelter in the basement when the shelling started earlier in the day, so none of the women were killed as they might have been if in the delivery, gynecology or other top floor departments. Even now, three days after the June 13 bombings, there is little mention of the maternity hospital or even of Donetsk itself being bombed by Ukraine. Keep in mind this is the same western corporate-owned media that shrieked for weeks in March that Russia had bombed a maternity hospital in Mariupol, killing three. The reality emerged that Ukrainian Nazi Azov forces had expelled the hospital staff in late February (so, prior to the alleged air strike), militarized the hospital, and staged a hoax, including setting off explosives to incriminate Russia. Ukrainian bombing of Donetsk on June 13 renewed just before 6 pm, hitting residential areas across the city for the next two hours. Here's what I heard from my room & then from the street. Five civilians were killed by the widespread Ukrainian bombing. The DPR MFA reports: "For about two hours, the Republic’s capital is under massive fire from the AFU Kuibyshevsky, Kievsky, Voroshilovsky districts are subjected to dense fire from the BM-21 Grad MLRS, Uragan MLRS, artillery systems with a caliber of 155 and 152 mm. We ask residents not to leave shelters and without urgent need not to go outside, move indoors away from windows, because AFU fire is chaotic and unsystematic. We note that such an unprecedented in terms of power, density and duration of a fire raid on the DPR capital was not recorded during the entire period of the armed conflict. In two hours, almost 300 MLRS rockets and artillery shells were fired. From March 2014 to March 2022, Aidar took over and militarized a sausage factory near the village of Polovinkina, north and slightly west of Lugansk. They turned part of it into a prison for LPR civilians and military, near-starving them, torturing them, and killing some. It is unknown how many were held there over the years, many didn't return to their families. If dead, their bodies have not yet been found. Based on what I heard at that former prison, and the testimonies published before and since its March 2022 liberation, Aidar were indeed very much guilty of war crimes. Although Ukrainian forces and secret services have committed the same heinous torture and executions as the Nazi battalions, it is important to emphasize the Nazi presence and crimes, given the wave of “I stand with Ukraine” virtue signalling which has overtaken the woke world since late February. To be clear, those who make that statement are, naively or otherwise, standing with active Nazis who proudly declare their hate-filled ideologies and proudly imprison, rape, torture and execute civilians. Report from Kirovsk, a Lugansk People's Republic city I visited on May 5. It continues to be shelled by Ukrainian forces who were at the time reportedly 15-20 km away. According to local media, it was again shelled a few days ago. The city's head of administration, Victoria Ivanovna, said its proximity to the line of separation has meant the shelling has been intense, with Ukrainian forces from 2014 targeting infrastructure, including schools and kindergartens. According to her, for a year and a half, the city was deprived of water, blocked by Ukraine—a war crime. Andrey Vitalievich Marochko, a Lieutenant Colonel of LPR said that the reason the advance of LPR & Russian forces is not very fast is due to Ukraine's tactics of holding civilians hostage as human shields. "What makes it difficult to advance is that on the other side, on the occupied side, there are citizens like us, citizens of the Lugansk People's Republic, who were forced to be in occupation for all these eight years. So, we care for their lives, naturally. We request pinpoint strikes on military infrastructure facilities and the accumulation of enemy manpower and equipment. When planning an offensive, the leaders of the people’s militia of the Lugansk People’s Republic, as well as the military of the Russian Federation, take into account the principle that we shouldn’t leave scorched earth behind us, but liberate the territory. That is why we have difficulty advancing in all areas of the terrain. Let’s not forget that the Ukrainian troops are using civilians as human shields. There is a lot of confirmation of the testimonies of people we have already liberated that the Ukrainian troops are literally putting civilians in front of them to prevent our troops from hitting concentrations of their equipment and armaments. They also hold people as hostages. Just recently, in Popasnaya village we liberated over 20 people whom Ukrainian nationalists locked away in a basement, and the youth who were kept there, they used them as a slave labour, to carry manpads, create some fortifications... They threatened them that unless they take up arms, their relatives would be killed. All of this combined complicates the advancement of our troops." On May 5, I went to Kirovsk, a city in the Lugansk People's Republic to the west of Lugansk, Ukrainian forces only a little further west. Kirovsk and surrounding areas have—like throughout both autonomous Donbass republics—since 2014 been shelled by Ukrainian forces. Just outside the city of Kirovsk, on an otherwise quiet lane, I saw a home hit by Ukrainian shelling on April 26. The massive rocket which tore into one side of the house thankfully didn't explode, instead merely, leaving a gaping vertical hole & terrifying the elderly mother. Had it exploded, the house and neighbouring homes would have been completely destroyed, residents killed. According to the son, Gennady, around 9 pm the rocket struck one corner of the house, destroying the wall of the room his mother had been in around 10 minutes prior. It came, he said, from beyond the settlement of Pervomaisk. “There is a village there that is under the Ukro-Nazis. Yesterday afternoon, I went to the Sokol markets in the Kirovsky district west of Donestk where, just before noon, they were shelled repeatedly by Ukrainian forces. With journalist Fergie Chambers, I went in a taxi to the heavily-populated residential district where the busy markets are. A household chemicals and building materials market sustained significant damage but no one was killed, according to Gennady Andreevichk, a local employee of the district's safety commission, who said the first shelling was a Grad missile, hitting at 11:40 am. He said that while there was only significant material damage in this market, the large vegetable and clothing market across the street had been likewise been shelled at that time, twice simultaneously. According to the Donetsk People’s Republic Healthcare Ministry, “The strike at the Tekstilschik neighbourhood in the Kirovsky district killed four people on the spot,. One patient died in ambulance during the transportation.” The area is completely a civilian area, no military installations, no military reason for Ukraine to bomb. It was purely to terrorize the civilians.

Valerie, a woman I met in Mariupol some days ago, speaks on Azov occupying residential buildings & bombing them. "Our land must be cleaned of crazy people. Some people call them Nazis, I think this is the only word you can say, Nazis."

In Mariupol on April 21. Roman Kosarev, while talking about humanitarian aid, pauses to explain the loud sounds of shelling. "As you can see, shelling is still continuing. It's taking place at Azovstal (Steel) Plant, where the rest of the Nazi & Ukrainian forces are holed up." He spoke of President Putin's decision not to storm the plant, rather to perform airstrikes, first having given the Nazi & Ukrainian forces time to lay down their weapons & surrender. We spoke of the destroyed apartment buildings around us, noting it wasn't wanton devastation for the sake of destruction but, again, because Ukrainian & Nazi forces had occupied them. "One thing I heard from locals here is that when Nationalist Battalions or Ukrainian Forces--they can't really distinguish between the two, and Azov was made a part of the Ukrainian army recently, so how to tell them apart was once they show their tattoos, swastikas... They entered people's buildings, set up their weapons there & started shooting at the oncoming Russian and Donetsk People's Republic armies. So the other side was forced to respond, obviously. People were forced to lower floors & basements, so basically they were used as human shields by the Ukrainians. And as they were retreating, they would continue bombing the houses." I asked if, as terrorists did in Syria, Ukrainian forces laid booby traps & mines to kill more civilians. On April 21st & 22nd, I joined journalist Roman Kosarev in going to Mariupol to deliver humanitarian aid, as he has been doing for 3 weeks now, to people desperately in need. As we drove the first day, I asked Roman to give context to the destruction we would see, although after reporting from Syria I knew the reasons... "You'll see buildings like we saw in Homs, in Aleppo. Why? Ukrainian soldiers & Azov nationalists placed their weapons within residential buildings, forced the residents to go to the basement or the lower floors, they occupied the higher floors. They did that in hope that Russia or DPR forces will return fire & damage these buildings, creating a perfect picture of those terrible Russians that are attacking civilians, which is not true. As these nationalists & Ukrainian soldiers retreated deeper into Azovstal (steel) plant, they continued bombing these buildings, even they knew people were in there, blaming Russian & DPR soldiers for it. It's not just me saying it, people in Mariupol said that to me in numerous interviews."

Yes, there is destruction, that's what happens when Ukrainian forces, and Nazis, embed in residential areas & occupy apartment buildings. Happy Orthodox Easter! From Mariupol on Good Friday

According to Western media, now copy-paste reporting the same claims, Russian forces apparently secretly buried *up to 9,000 Mariupol civilians* in "mass graves" in a town just west of the city. Except, it never happened, there is no mass grave. It's actually just a normal, small, cemetery…no pits, no mass graves, just an orderly cemetery whose grave diggers refuted Western claims. On April 23, with journalist Roman Kosarev, I went to Mangush (Manhush in Ukrainian), found a normal cemetery setting, and spoke with the men responsible for burials, who refused the allegations and said they buried each person in a coffin, including, they noted, Ukrainian soldiers.

In liberated Volnovakha, in the DPR, on March 24, Chief Physician, Viktor Fedorovich Saranov, said: “[The Ukrainian army] were there. There were tanks on our territory. There were guns and MLRS (“Grads”) outside the territory. I asked them to act in accordance with the Hague and Geneva conventions. I asked them to leave the hospital. They said it was war. The second and third floors were occupied here. We were preparing for a long siege, and then it turned out like this: they conducted an attack. They evacuated the soldiers. And they mined the entrance to the intensive care unit. On the last day when they were leaving, they shot at the intensive care unit.” The ICU, he said, had already been evacuated. A woman who said she had worked at the hospital as a nurse for nearly 58 years, said. “On the 28th I was home alone. They soon started shelling A tank came here and stopped. A soldier jumped out of it and said ‘get out of here immediately’. How can they do it with their native hospital? With patients here. They were laying in corridors, as they have been evacuated. They said there were no one in the hospital, no staff, no patients. This is a lie.” Later, researching, I came across this news: “Foreign mercenaries who were wounded in the Volnovakha hospital were shot by their own before leaving the city so that they could not tell anything. In the liberated town of Volnovakha on March 24, Russian forces distributed humanitarian aid to the population that, contrary to Western media reports, was terrorized by Ukrainian forces occupying the town, occupying residential areas, occupying the hospital, firing on homes, according to multiple residents in the town. March 27, 2024 "In a conversation with Eva Bartlett, Brian Gerrish (UK Column) learns what takes a young woman from Canada to travel to explore the world. Bartlett (2007) paid for herself to go to the West Bank and the Gaza Strip (2008-2013) to understand what was really happening. Eva paid a price for her courage on the front lines: she suffered physical harm from Israeli soldiers & from illegal Jewish colonists; she endured arrest, shackling and custody by the Israeli police; and she experienced the trauma of being in the firing line when Israeli troops targeted live rounds against unarmed Palestinian protestors—a frequent occurrence. Following my re-visits to Crimea ( https://t.me/Reality_Theories/18833 ) & Donbass ( https://t.me/Reality_Theories/19036 ), 🇷🇺 I've finally found the time to stitch together some of my footage from Mariupol! The city is brimming with life & construction. This short clip is a taste of what I saw in my recent visit, with a couple of clips from visits last year & late 2022. I'll be putting together more videos from my last visit—there is so much construction that's happened since I visited last year. I was astonished. For a city "destroyed" (as Western mouthpieces claim), Mariupol is pulsing with life.

On my last visit to Mariupol, one morning I walked ~15 minutes (if I didn't keep stopping to film) from the centre to the site of newly constructed apartment buildings. While doing so, I kept stopping every 5 or so metres to film renovations on the street I was walking on, so prevalent are the ongoing renovations. I would like to reiterate that rags like the Guardian which claim Mariupol was completely "destroyed" were/are lying through their teeth, as they did re Syria (where the Guardian rendered terrorists into fuzzy "rebels" and whitewashed al-Qaeda in Syria ( https://ingaza.wordpress.com/2018/01/06/how-the-mainstream-media-whitewashed-al-qaeda-and-the-white-helmets-in-syria/ )). They also do not mention the reason for what damage and destruction there was in Mariupol (In summary: Ukrainian troops, and Azov Nazis, occupying upper floors of apartment buildings and firing on Russian troops (and also on civilians). I'll be writing an article which will address some of the dirty tricks the Guardian used in an article (2023) I only recently came across, wherein they grossly distorted satellite images to fit their lying narrative that Mariupol was completely destroyed (as in levelled like the US actually did to Raqqa, or as Israel actually has been doing all over the Gaza Strip). For now, this clip, which includes some conversations I had with a woman who lived in Mariupol during 2022 (when Ukraine was severely bombarding Donetsk ( https://ingaza.wordpress.com/2022/08/10/what-ive-seen-of-ukraines-war-crimes-against-civilians-in-the-donbass-over-the-years/ ), where she was from), and her notes on changes in Mariupol that surprised even her.

In late April, survivors of Ukrainian bombing in Artyomovsk spoke to Christelle Néant (Donbass Insider (https://t.me/donbassinsider)) & myself about the horrors they endured on April 11, when Ukrainian forces deliberately blew up the ground floor of their apartment building, burying the civilians sheltering in the basement below. Seven of the seventeen civilians in that basement died almost immediately, including a seven year old child. These civilians spoke about how people known as "White Angels", Ukrainian military police, were actively seeking to abduct children, and were succeeding. “They were hunting our kids, and we were hiding them around the buildings.” Kiev openly announced they would be forcibly taking children, under the premise of providing security. They do so, according to the people we spoke with (and many other testimonies since) against the will of parents, without their consent. Kiev is doing precisely what it falsely-accused Russia of doing (https://t.me/Reality_Theories/10885): abducting children, without their parent's consent.
