On November 11, 2022, at approximately 12:10am I was seating at W 19th Street and S Buerkle Street watching the 4 way. I noticed a white car heading North on S Buerkle Street drive through the 4 way. I pulled in behind the white car to make a traffic stop. The white car put their right turning signal on, so I turned off my sirens. The white car kept driving so I turned my sirens back on. The white car stops at 10th and S Buerkle. Then the white car turns their left turn signal on, so once again I turned my sirens off. The white car kept driving North on S Buerkle and turned my sirens back on. I called for the Sergeant Jenkins on shift for her locations and told her what I had going on. At that point the white car stopped at 2nd and S Buerkle and makes a left to the highway. The white car pulls into 613 W Second Street. I told dispatch where I was at.
I read the license plate off to dispatch, and it came back to a white Ford C-Max. I asked the driver for her driver’s license. I identified the driver to Latoyia Simons. Ms. Simons had suspended driver’s license then I asked Ms. Simons to step out of the car. I asked dispatch to go head and have the next tow truck come pick up the car. I cited Ms. Simons for driving on suspended driver’s license, no seat belt, no proof of insurance, expired tags and fleeing. Ollie's wrecker service towed the car. Ms. Simons was cited and released.
